Mechanism

. . .  a collaborative duet by Eleanor Goudie-Averill of Stone Depot Dance Lab and Franklin and Marshall professor Pam Vail was recently shown at Group Motion’s Spiel Uhr.

Peter Price, of ThinkingDance.net, had this to say:

“[Mechanism is] a promising duet in progress by Eleanor Goudie-Averill and Pamela Vail with accomplished original music by collaborating composer Brandan Evans.   The complete Mechanism is slated to premiere at the 2012 Philly Fringe Festival.  Its theme of “finding humanity within machinery” through the appreciation of the  moving body as mechanistic was visible in the jewel-like precision of its dancing for instance the wheels-within-wheels rotations of mirrored floorwork.”

Look for Ellie and Pam’s Fringe Show this coming Fall and also be sure to check out Group Motion’s SpringFest show on March 15 &17th at Christ Church!  Tickets: http://www.groupmotion.org
