PIFA Launch and Fringe Reviews!

Stone Depot is happy to announce our involvement in the 2nd Philadelphia International Festival of the Arts!   Beau Hancock and Eleanor Goudie-Averill will be taking the festival’s Time Machine to April 15th, 1966–the world’s first Casual Friday.  During the PIFA festival, Stone Depot’s Casual Fridays, on April 12 & 19, 2013, begin with a Happy Hour in the Ruba Club’s inviting lounge, sponsored by Philadelphia Brewing Company, and continue on a wild ride through an unorthodox history.  Chis Farrell will be composing original music, played live by the Rit Mo Collective!  http://www.pifa.org/events/12

Thank you to everyone for making our Fringe performances this season a success!

According to Thinking Dance’s review of Go Together: “Goudie-Averill’s final work of the evening… included moments of humor and wit and even virtuosity… The live percussion and sense of community in the large group work “American Nostalgia” ended the evening with a picture of the chaotic, dynamic machine that is humanity.”  &

“For Members Only, choreographed by Ellie Goudie-Averill is … embodied and sensory as the dancers move, fall and slide over each other… They roll off of each other and establish their own spaces, initiating a series of sharp, urgent movements”
