SDDL Spring News

I began the Spring with a performance of Tori Lawrence’s in-progress work Junkspace at Movement Research at the Judson Church on March 19th.  Look for news of the work’s full premiere in the Fall HERE.  Later in the Spring, I will be traveling with TL+Co. to Brunakra in Sweden for a month-long residency to continue work on the project, followed by a residency in June at Playa in Oregon.

I will also be continuing work with Beau Hancock on his new project, Blue Highways, which will take the form of a dance on film by late summer.  The title of the work references a book by William Least Heat Moon.  In this travelogue, Least Heat Moon navigates the backroads of America, charting a course less traveled. This purposeful navigation by Least Heat Moon through the less obvious but potentially more rewarding pathways through America mirrors our desire for this dance on camera: to navigate the less obvious but potentially more rewarding pathways of movement through the body.

Stay tuned!
